Official Launch: China GB 2762-2025 Database for Querying Contaminant Limits in Foods
With the official release of GB 2762-2025 "National Food Safety Standard - Maximum Levels of Contaminants in Foods", which will come into effect on September 6, 2026, the food industry is about to enter a new phase of contaminant control. In active response to the new regulation and to support a smooth transition for the industry, the Food Safety Compliance Department of Foodmate has successfully developed and launched the "Contaminant Limit Query Database" based on the official standard text.

Italian Ministry of Health Issues "Guidelines on Foods for Special Medical Purposes (FSMP)"
On 28 October 2025, the Italian Ministry of Health issued the "Guidelines on Foods for Special Medical Purposes (FSMP)", with the main contents as follows:(1) Fundamental Positioning. FSMPs are specialized foods used under medical supervision, designed to provide nutritional management for patients whose nutrient intake, digestion, or metabolism is compromised due to disease, and whose needs cannot be met by normal diet or food supplements.

Norway Issues Updated Guide for Submitting Data to the Food Composition Table
On October 22, 2025, the Norwegian Food Safety Authority announced on its official website the release of detailed guidelines for data submission to the Norwegian Food Composition Table. Jointly maintained by the Food Safety Authority, the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, and the Directorate of Health, the Table compiles energy and nutritional information for approximately 2,000 food items. Reminder! Australia Reaffirms Mandatory Allergen Labeling Requirements for imported Foods
On October 14, 2025, the Australian Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry issued Notice IFN10-25, the Mandatory Allergen Labeling Requirements for imported Food, reminding food importers of the Mandatory Allergen Claims Regulation for Food Labels effective February 25, 2024. Products manufactured before February 25, 2024, benefit from a two year trade in period for existing inventory, allowing sales until February 25, 2026.
